FinExpertiza at a business forum of RAEX Rating Agency “Who makes the Russian economy?”

The 12th Annual Forum of Big Business “Who makes the Russian economy?” was held on September 28 by RAEX Rating Agency (Expert RA) in Moscow. The event was attended by representatives of federal ministries and agencies, owners and tоp-managers of the biggest Russian and foreign companies. FinExpertiza was represented by Nina Kozlova, the Managing Partner, and Margarita Yefromeeva, the Commercial Director. At the plenary session, the participants discussed the key trends of macroeconomic, financial and industrial policy that determine the development of the leading companies of Russia and its economy as a whole. The main topics of business discussions and round tables included machine building, agroindustrial complex, infrastructure and civil engineering.

The analytical base of the event was RAEX-600 rating (rating of the biggest Russian companies), which celebrated its 21st anniversary this year: it was first published as a result of 1995. Until 2015 it had included 400 companies; today, this number is extended up to 600 companies – industrial leaders, whose total revenue accounts for 85% of the country’s GDP. According to Nina Kozlova, to build a new model of economic growth that would be an alternative for export of raw materials is impossible “without achievements of export-oriented industries, without development of national champions of the country’s economic growth”.

Also, the forum included a high-profile ceremony of awarding the leaders of the biggest Russian companies. Research and Production Corporation “Uralvagonzavod” received a prize in the category “Technological leadership”. Thus, as a result of 2015, the holding company was in top ten in terms of turnover in machine building and in ТОP-100 of the biggest Russian companies. Nina Kozlova congratulated Ruslan Kondrashov, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Uralvagonzavod. “We are always happy about our partners’ success and achievements. I’m glad to note that in the recent year Uralvagonzavod made an impressive leap from quantitative growth to quality development. And made a great breakthrough – now, Uralvagonzavod specializes in export. Another positive thing is high quality work of the company’s financial department, which is reflected in the positive dynamics of financial indicators. We would like to wish our partners further success and prosperity”, - Nina Kozlova said.
