FinExpertiza conducts a seminar on the preparation of annual financial statements and changes in the Tax Code of the Russian Federation in 2016

FinExpertiza held a seminar for directors of accounting departments of the biggest Russian and international companies in Moscow on December 7. The seminar was devoted to preparation of the annual financial statements in 2016 and changes in the Tax Code of the Russian Federation in 2016.

The event was started by Elena Nikiforova, Head of Audit Department. She spoke about audit specifics for 2015 with examples from her own experience.

Irina Loginova, a methodologist of the Quality Control and Methodology Department, spoke about new developments in the IFRS and ISA.

Maria Sklyarova, head of methodology and quality control subdivision of the IFRS Department, shed some light on the differences between the Russian Accounting Standards and the IFRS, giving illustrative practice-oriented examples.

Viktoriya Frolova, Deputy Head of Department of Accounting, Tax & Legal Consulting, made a report on changes in the Tax Code of the Russian Federation in 2016. The speaker made a detailed analysis of the draft laws which are now being considered by the State Duma.

The second part of the seminar was completely devoted to questions to the speakers of FinExpertiza and discussion of current issues which face accounting departments of companies in the course of preparation of the annual financial statements.
