FinExpertiza held a practical seminar Summary of International Tax Environment: EU, Cyprus and Russia. CFC in the Light of the EU Anti Tax Avoidance Directive. FinExpertiza's colleagues Michael Hadjihannas and George Tsamourlidis from Cyprus and Klara Vorobieva from the Moscow office made their speeches.
The participants discussed the EU directive on anti tax avoidance, automatic exchange of information, regulatory enforcement regarding "beneficial owners of income" and operation of controlled foreign corporations under the current laws and regulations.
Special attention was paid to the tax environment in Cyprus. The speakers shared their knowledge on how intellectual property is taxed, on intra-group financing and transfer pricing as well as on tax residence.
The attendees benefited from the opportunity to have face-to-face discussions and ask about the areas of their major concerns.
"The objective of such events is to gain practical points from information. The speakers in the seminar are those people who have daily practice in the matters that we have discussed today. Compliance with the laws, thoughtful financial and tax planning, confidence in transfer pricing - these are the ideas that add comfort, security and efficiency to each business in every country. And this is the information we want to share with our clients", told Nina Kozlova, President of international network FinExpertiza.
