United Metallurgical Company (OMK) is one of the major domestic companies that produce equipment for power, transport and industrial enterprises. OMK produces assorted pipes, railroad wheels, automobile springs, rolled metal, rolled section steel, ferrovanadium, cast iron and coke. OMK was established in 1992 and now comprises six large metallurgical plants: Vyksa Steel Works, Almetyevsk Pipe Plant, Chusovoy Steel Works, Gubakha Coke, Shchelkovo Steel Works and Turbodetal Plant.
The company employs over 27 thousand people.
