Amendments have been introduced to the conditions of providing permits for persons from “unfriendly countries” to leave assets of the Russian Federation

A subcommittee of the Government Commission for the Control of Foreign Investments has resolved to oblige persons from "unfriendly countries" to send at least 10% of half of the market value of the relevant assets indicated in the asset valuation report to the federal budget of the Russian Federation.

According to the new formula, either 5% of the market value of the asset must be paid, or 10% of the market value of the asset if the transaction is carried out with a discount of more than 90%.

An asset valuation report can be obtained as a result of the valuation procedure only from the appraisal company recommended by the Ministry of Finance. LLC FinExpertiza is included in the "List of appraisers recommended for making assessment of the market value of assets." The Ministry of Finance of Russia recommends FinExpertiza in both valuation segments: business valuation (shares, participatory interest, ETF) and real estate valuation.
